The Blue colour long ‘ Add new task’ button has now been replaced with a more minimalistic looking circular button with a ‘+’ sign on it to keep the design aesthetic of the app in sync with the Google’s Material design.

Google Tasks new app shortcut Android users can now add a new widget that now has a new long press action that reveals a new shortcut ‘New task’ which redirects the user to new task entry screen of the app allowing users to make a new entry directly from the homescreen. However, it still does not upload photos directly to the app, just like several other similar apps. If you’re within the email when you decide you want to add it to Tasks, simply click the three-dot icon at the top of your email and select, Add to Tasks. You’ll see the email icon underneath the task, which, if you click, will take you to the email. The feature now also works with any photo that has a link in it. Simply hold the email and drag it to your open Task list. Now add the title of your task and a description, and set a repeating schedule if necessary.
Either highlight an empty slot on your Google Calendar where you want to create the task or click the Create button in the top left-hand corner and select Task. The feature creates a new URL for the selected photos and place it directly into the description field with default title ‘Shared album’ which can be viewed by heading into the My Task section of the app. Step 2: Create the task and add in your details. Google Photos integration The Google Tasks app is now integrated into the Google Photos share menu option. To update the app head to Google Play Store and search the app and hit the update button to initiate the process. Users might have to wait to receive the latest update for the app. This is not a server-side change and being rolled out as an update via Google Play Store in a phased manner.
